The first days of sightseeing will acquaint you with the people and their culture and allow time for your acclimatization. The last leg of the trip along the Arniko Highway brings us to Kodari Border where is Nepal Tibet border known for it good views on the central Himalayas. A hike in its vicinity concludes our mountain adventure. Near Tsetang (3400m), you will visit a castle from the first kings of Tibet and have a good view across the fertile Yarlung valley. On the way to Lhasa we will visit the oldest monastery of Tibet, Samye.

The drive leads across passes of more than 5000m with dazzling views of the snow-covered peaks and fluttering prayer flags, we pass the turquoise-colored Lake Yamdrok and Tibetan houses with their flat roofs. In Shigatse and Gyantse visit such important monasteries as Tashilunpo and the Kumbum, rich in sculptures and murals. Among Them lot of place mane focus point of visit is Potala Palace, Norbulinka Palace, Sera Monastery, Depung Monastery, Ganden Monastery, Gyantse, Jokhang Temple and Barkhor market, Sighatse and Tsetang.

We have two days sightseeing in Lhasa (3600m), the spiritual and secular center of Tibet. You will see the Potala palace, perched high above the city, the holiest temple Tibet's, the Jokhang, and the Gelugpa monastery of Drepung. Across the vast Tibetan plateau, we drive from Nepal to Tibet and get a good glimpse of the Himalayas and the Trans Himalaya.

Itinerary in Detail
Day 01 Kathmandu (1300m.)-Zhangmu (2500m.)-123 Km.
Early morning scenic drive to Kodari (Nepal-Tibet boarder) through the beautiful Nepalese countryside and start a short walk (approx. 1 & half hrs.) uphill with porters to Zhangmu immigration and drive (1.5 hrs)toNyalam.Overnightat Hotel.
Day 02. Zhangmu-Xegar(4350m.):244km.
Day drive to uphill to highest plateau of the world with the typical view of Tibetan landscape offering sheer feeling of standing on the roof of the world crossing over Nyalamu pass (3800m.) and Lalung La (5050m.) weather permitting breathing panorma of the beautiful Himalayan ranges including Mt Everest (8848m.) but dwarfed by the vastness of the Tibetan plateau. Over night at Hotel.
Day 03 Xegar-Xigatse (3900m):244 km.
Continue scenic drive crossing over Gyatchu La (5220m.) the highest pass en route to Lhasa via Lhatse from where a road to Mt. Kailash bifurcates to the west. On the way visit Shakya Monastery. Over night at Hotel.
Day 04 Xigatse-Gyantse (3950m.): 90 km.
Morning sightseeing to the Panchen Lama's Tashilhumpu Monastery and Market in Xigatse. Drive to Gyantse and visit to the Kumbum Stupa & Phalkor Monastery. Over night at Hotel.
Day 05 Gyantse-Lhasa (3650m.): 261 km.
Full day picturesque drive crossing over Karo La (5010m.), Kamba La (4794m.), colorful Yamdrok Lake and Tibetan lifeline river Brahma Putra (Yarlung Tsangpo). Over night at Hotel.
Day 06-07 In Lhasa.
Two full days sightseeing tour to Lhasa including Jokhang Temple, Barkhor Bazaar, Potala Palace, Drepung & Sera Monasteries & Norbulinkha. Over night at Hotel.
Day 08 Lhasa-Kathmandu
Early morning drive to Gongaar airport for departure flight to Kathmandu.
