Gorkha is the birth place of King Prithvi Narayan Shah, the great founder of modern Nepal, and is also the ancestral home of the Shah Kings of Nepal. Situated on a hill overlooking the snowy peaks of the Himalayas, you'll see the beautiful old palace known as Gorkha Durbar.
This is a delightful short trek that takes in some of the prettiest village life, foothill scenery and mountain views in Nepal. It is charmingly out of the way of the heavily touristic area of Kathmandu and Pokhara.
We drive to Gorkha and the journey begins with several days in the wilderness. Pass through the beautiful forests with excellent views of mountain ranges to the north and end up at Trishuli Bazaar. The trek can be arranged for 7 to12 days & the highest access at Ganga Jamuna - 2,300 m approx.)
